"Tình nghèo có nhau" by Đài Phương Trang is the fourth song about poor people's love on the Premier 3 tape. In Đài Phương Trang's "Tình đời tay trắng," the parents of the love object went to marry off their daughter into better economic circumstances while the narrator asks for Heaven's assistance for those like him who are poor and unsuccessful in love. Vinh Sử's "Nhẵn cỏ cho em" presents a sincere, naive narrator who hoped that his shared circumnstances with his love object would prevail over material temptation. "Hai bàn tay trắng," also by Vinh Sử, presents a narrator who fully appreciates the futility of his station in life in realizing a future life with his love interest.

 
Recorded by the duo of Chế Linh and Thanh Tâm, "Tình nghèo có nhau" presents an entirely different outlook. We may not be rich or good looking, but we'll have each other. In fact, we scorn the materialism of others. However, in order to that, they dare not dream of too much. They'll just weather the storm together. As far as I can tell, this song was never published as sheet music.

"Tình nghèo có nhau" was revived by Mạnh Quỳnh on the Paris By Night 75 program: "Về miền viễn đông" (Return to the Far East") - in 2004.
