"Xuân yêu thương" appeared on Paris By Night 4 from 1987, one of the earliest Thúy Nga programs. It was Linda Trang Đài's explosive introduction to the Vietnamese musical public. (She had performed on a few songs on cassettes and sung at Little Saigon clubs prior to this).

The lyrics were created by Lê Đức Cường, the found of the Người Đẹp Bình Dương cassette / CD label. These lyrics have nothing at all to do with French song that it is based on.

"Xuân yêu thương" has become incorporated into the Vietnamese song repertoire, especially during the Tết season. There are dozens of recorded cover versions. Here is a performance by Phương Uyên from the beginning of this year.
