1 - Born and growing up in a poor, patriotic peasant family, Lê Thị Hồng Gấm participated in revolutionary assignments since she was little. Her mom and dad zealously fighting against the Americans and their puppets, Hồng Gấm also led the way for cadres to carry out their assignments.
2 - Hundreds of liaison trips full of hardships and trials, hundreds of times meeting the enemy in ambush or being detained, Hồng Gấm heroically and resourcefully defeated the enemy and completed her duties.
Hồng Gấm went back to the hamlets facing the most difficulties, coming to "strategic hamlets" to propagandize, campaign and organize her compatriots to participate in the forces for political struggle and partisan squads, to build combat hamlets.
As she commanded, Hồng Gấm led the attack on each post and "stratetic hamlet," wiping out the thugs, breaking the yoke of the lock up, helping her compatriot's strength in rising up to retake their authority as masters.
5 - During a trip on a mission with two girlfriends, Hồng Gấm encountered enemy two helicopters coming to spill out troops to surround and capture them. She showed a way for her two friends to escape. Alone, Hồng Gấm stopped, lifted her rifle and shot down a helicopter, wiping out the Americans and their lackeys inside.
6 - Bọn lính ngụy trên chiếc máy bay lên thẳng còn lại đổ xuống định vây bắt Hồng Gấm. Chị bắn nhiều tên ngã gục, ghim đầu những tên khác xuống. 6 - The puppet troops in the remaining helicopter poured out planning a round-up to capture Hồng Gấm. She shot many gangsters down, pulled down other gangsters. Once she shot her last bullet was the moment she became seriously wounded. Knowing that she couldn't live, smashing her gun so it wouldn't fall into the hands of the enemy, Hồng Gấm sacrificed her life at age 19.
