Tuổi thanh-niên của chúng ta

Trong cảnh vườn xuân gió đào qua thơm ngát
In this spring garden scene the wind the powerful fragrance peach blossoms

Lo mà chi đến những ngày mai?
Why worry about tomorrow?

Em trông đôi bướm kia bay
You see that pair of butterflies there

Lăng băng qua đó quay đây,
Leisurely passing hither, turning thither,

Yêu cánh hồng bay thăm hoa biếc.
In love with the rose flying to visit an azure bloom.

Bướm vô tư nào đâu có biết.
Unconcerned butterflies have no idea at all

--Nhưng mà hồn bướm vẫn chưa say.
--Yet the butterfly's soul is not yet intoxicated.

Em ơi! hỡi bạn ngây thơ!
Dear! Hail naive friend!

Trong lúc em tung đoá hoa,
While you fling away the blossom,

Trong lúc săn theo đôi bướm,
While you chase after the butterfly pair

Em có biết lòng ta sung sướng,
You know my heart is happy,

Vì em săn đuổi mấy vần thơ?
Is it because you chase after a few rhymes?
