"Les Troubadours Hawaiian's" (Ban đàn hát rong Ha Ụy Di) - (1924)

Hawai "Paradis du Pacifique" jouit d'un soleil radieux et tout artiste ne peut se lasser d'admirer les merveillieux panoramas produits par la vaste étendue bleue de l'océan et la découpure des montagnes à l'horizon, agrémentés de vifs coloris; on ne peut s'étonner que ce peuple d'artiste soit si brillamment inspiré en musique.

On y vit grisé par les fleurs dans une atmosphère perpétuelle de poésie et de musique.

Malgré l'assimilation de l'harmonie européenne cette musique hawaienne se distingue nettement par son originalité. Parmi ceux qui ont le plus et le mieux participé à répandre universellement le charme de ces mélodies, la troupe joyeuse des "Troubadours Hawaiens" dirigée par Mr Kaai surnommé par ses compatriotes "l'âme de leur musique" tient la premier place.

La célébrité que cette troupe a déjà acquise en Orient ne pourra que se confirmer ici le 4 mars à l'Eden -Cinéma.

Le programme d'ouverture est intitulé "Honolulu by night"; c'est une combinaison heureuse du jazz moderne et des anciennes mélodies hawaiennes.

Hawaii, "Paradise of the Pacific," enjoys radiant sunshine, and no artist ever tires of admiring the marvelous panorama created by the vast blue expanse of the ocean and the jagged peaks of mountains on the horizon, enhanced by vibrant colors. No one is surprised that these artistic people as so brilliantly inspired in music.

One lives here intoxicated by flowers in a perpetual atmosphere of poetry and music.

Despite assimilating European harmony, Hawaiian music stands out clearly for its originality. Among those who have contributed most and most effectively to spreading the charm of these melodies universally, the joyous troupe of the "Hawaiian Troubadours," led by Mr. Ka'ai, nicknamed by his compatriots "the soul of their music," holds first place.

The fame this troupe has already achieved in the East will undoubtedly be further confirmed here on March 4th at the Eden Cinema.

The opening program is titled "Honolulu by night." It's a happy combination of modern jazz and ancient Hawaiian melodies.
